Emnet Mekonnen
Hi! My name is Emnet Mekonnen and I'm a senior at Mountain View High School. I'm love learning and have been taking all available honors classes since 6th grade, as well as taking AP and IB classes more recently in my high school career. Currently I hold office in DECA (a business club) and Model UN, and I've served as the Secretary for Virginia's statewide chapter of the National Junior Classical League. Additionally, I'm co-founder of a successful service club at my school, and was an elected SCA member for 2 years. As you can see, I love being involved in my many communities, whether it be my school community, sports community for when I'm a field hockey goalie, or artistic community for when I spin pottery and make bracelets in my free time. I wanted to get into tutoring because it's a rewarding job that makes a positive difference in my community, and in students' lives.
